Discover Your Heart Health with Beaumont’s Free Heart Risk Assessment

When we are relatively healthy and feel good, most of us do not often think about our health. It is only until something happens that causes us to stop, reflect, and make changes.

Did you know that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and smoking are key risk factors for heart disease?

A startling 47% of Americans have at least one of these three risk factors. Unfortunately, heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women.

Think back on your family history and take note if you have any hereditary disposition for heart disease.

One of the best ways to prevent heart disease is to understand and manage your risk factors.

What’s Your Heart’s Age?

After you’ve done that, you can take Beaumont’s heart risk assessment.

It will help you learn about the age of your heart and your risk of developing the disease.

The best part?

It’s completely FREE and will only take a few minutes of your time.

If you think you are at increased risk, your best bet is to follow up with a doctor or connect with a cardiologist.

Do You Know Your Family History?

Personally, when I learned about the Beaumont heart risk assessment, I immediately wanted to learn more.

My father, Francisco, who is very dear to me suffered from a heart attack in his early forties. I would have loved it if he could have been able to take Beaumont’s free heart risk assessment.

It would have been such a great tool that I know could have helped him at that age.

Like most fathers are to their daughters, he is my hero. I love him very much and I admire that he is a fighter through it all.

My family and I have seen him through many rough times since because of heart disease with subsequent infarctions.

I know it is not an easy path to walk.

Since my dad had early heart disease, I often wonder if I have a higher risk for it too.

Nancy holds her results and it shows there is a high risk.

That, and I’ve always had high blood pressure, even at a normal body weight, it was always high.
